Experience and education excel with the Broker of this firm, with nationally published real estate articles, including, “Financing & Its Influence on Property Valuation,” a terminal degree in Business Administration, Ph.D, ABD,with concentration in Electronic Commerce, MBA in Real Estate and  Finance and an academic dissertation entitled, “Examining the Impact of The Paperless Real Estate Transaction Upon Low-Income Housing in the US.” Dissertation Document.  This degree was partially underwritten by Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC,) the state housing finance agency for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, contributing to his PhD from Northcentral University, Prescott, Arizona in Business Administration with concentration in Electronic Commerce.  This has allowed him to  develop his own websites as well as websites for other companies, implementing successful E-commerce strategies to expand markets & increase sales.    In addition he is Certified Review Appraiser and Mortgage Underwriter with the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and Mortgage Banker’s Association.  For the past 25 years, the broker has founded and sold several businesses and equity interests including Bluegrass Antique Galleries, an equity partnership interest in Isaac Properties, Developed, operated and divested 3 Arby's Roast Beef Restaurants, and worked as Multi-family Housing Development Specialist developing millions of dollars of low-income housing stock including Assisted Living Facilities, Apartment Complexes and Special Needs Housing for Kentucky Housing Corporation, receiving Housing Development Finance Professional Designation (HDFP).  After 15 years in the capitol city of Frankfort, Kentucky, the broker returned to his home town in 2005, close to aging parents.  Since returning he has continued his life-long learning by completing his doctoral studies, taking Business Brokerage, Professional Business Valuation, Corporate Finance, Cost Segregation,  Business Analysis and Merger and Acquisition training, and Project Management , culminating in Senior Certified Business Analyst.  Recently Mr. Newsome earned the designation of Certified Machinery & Equipment Appriaser, CMEA,(one of only 350 worldwide) from National Equipment Business Brokers Institute, NEBB, Whichita, KS, and was awarded membership in the  Society of Business Analyst, as CSBA.  He is a member of the International Business Brokerage Association (IBBA) and Business Broker's Network.  He provides workshops for aspiring Busines Brokers, Consultants, Financial Analyst and  local civic and academic groups; His forte' is exit strategies for the the small business owner, including succession plannning, selling, or terminating the enterprise.  Contact Mr. Newsome @ 606-454-3455.
